Eating right would mean that you should limit yourself from eating large intake of high calorie foods. You see, if you have a large intake of calories, Your body might not be able to burn them all for the day. So what happens, those unburned calories will be stored by your body as fats and will again add to the bulk of fats in your waistline or in some other parts of your body.

However, if you eat right, meaning you eat foods very low in calories, the activity that you do for the day like exercise, playing basketball or whatever, will make the calories you eat for the day insufficient to cover for the energy requirements that you need.

What happens is that your body will be forced to use the excess fats in your body which are your stored energy, to cover for the energy requirements that you used for the day. So, if you continue eating foods with very low calorie and continue your daily exercise and other sports activities, your body will have to continue using your stored fats until such time you will just realize that you have no more fat remaining in your body.
